Brother Iakob
Brother Iakob is an elderly priest of Erastil, operating out of the chapel at Slowwater Crossing in The Surewild. A former member of the Vial Vitae, Iakob is skilled at brewing potions and alcoholic beverages of many types, and does so both as a personal hobby and a source of income.
Physical Appearance
An elderly human man, surprisingly hale in spite of his age. Iakob keeps his head shaved bald, and wears robes of a rich bark-brown. Always seen with an ivory holy symbol or Erastil around his neck, and usually in possession of his longbow and greatcoat when outside of the chapel.

Touch of Good Iakob can touch a creature as a standard action, granting a +1 sacred bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for 1 round. He can use this ability 6 times per day.

TRAITS AND DRAWBACKS
Patient Optimist: Iakob knows that all things pass in time, and is used to having to repeat arguments multiple times to convince stubborn believers. He gains a +2 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks to influence hostile or unfriendly creatures, and if he fails at such an attempt, he may retry it once.
Old-Aged: Iakob takes a -3 penalty to Str, Dex, and Con, and gains a +2 bonus to Int, Wis, and Cha.
CLASS FEATURES
Weapon and Armour Proficiency: Iakob is proficient in the use of all simple weapons, longbows, bombs, light armour, medium armour, and shields (except tower shields).
Class Skills: Iakob's class skills are Appraise, Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Disable Device, Fly, Handle Animal, Heal, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (history), Knowledge (nature), Knowledge (nobility), Knowledge (planes), Knowledge (religion), Linguistics, Perception, Profession, Ride, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, Spellcraft, Survival, Swim, and Use Magic Device.
Alchemy: When using Craft (alchemy) to create an alchemical item, Iakob gains a competence bonus equal to his class level on the Craft (alchemy) check. In addition, he can use Craft (alchemy) to identify potions as if using detect magic. He must hold the potion for 1 round to make such a check.
Bomb: Iakob can create and throw a bomb (20ft range) five times per day as a standard action. Each bomb deals 1d6+3 fire damage on hit, plus 4 fire splash damage (DC14 reflex save to halve damage taken).
Throw Anything: Iakob adds his Int modifier (+3) to damage done with splash weapons, including the splash damage, if any.
Poison Resistance: Iakob gains a +2 bonus on all saving throws against poison.
Poison Use: Iakob cannot accidentally poison himself when applying poison to a weapon.
Aura: Brother Iakob has a powerful Good aura.
Spontaneous Casting: Brother Iakob can cast Cure Light Wounds by expending one prepared Cleric spell of 1st level.
FEATS
Brew Potion: Iakob can create a potion of any spell that he knows and that targets one or more creatures or objects. Brewing a potion takes 2 hours. When he creates a potion, he sets the caster level, which must be sufficient to cast the spell in question and no higher than his own level. To brew a potion, he must use up raw materials costing one half this base price.
When Iakob creates a potion, he makes any choices that would normally be made when casting the spell. Whoever drinks the potion is the target of the spell, and spells with a range of personal cannot be made into potions.
Throw Anything: Iakob does not suffer any penalties for using an improvised ranged weapon. He receives a +1 circumstance bonus on attack rolls made with thrown splash weapons.
Extra Channel: Iakob can channel energy two additional times per day.
Weapon Focus (Longbow): Iakob gains a +1 bonus on all attack rolls made using longbows.
Erastil's Blessing: Iakob can use his Wisdom modifier (+3) instead of his Dexterity modifier (-1) on ranged attack rolls when using a bow.
Savior's Arrow: Once per day when he casts a Cure spell, Iakob can replace the normal somatic component with drawing a longbow to create a shaft of green glowing light. When he fires the bow as a part of casting the spell and hits his target with a ranged touch attack, the green shaft of light cures the target as if it were touched by the Cure spell.
Point Blank Shot: Iakob gets a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with ranged weapons at ranges of up to 30 feet.
Alchemist Discovery - Infusion: When Iakob creates an extract, he can infuse it with an extra bit of his own magical power. The extract created now persists even after Iakob sets it down. As long as the extract exists, it continues to occupy one of his daily extract slots. An infused extract can be imbibed by a non-alchemist to gain its effects.
