The Ghoul of Parisius

The Ghoul of Parisius is a serial killer that resides in and around the city of Parisius in Frankia. A being of some ill-repute he, she or even it, stalks the grave yards, crypts, and tombs of the city stealing body parts of the freshly dead. Nobody can say for definite who they are or what they look like. What any witness does say is that the killer targets victims with a knife made of human bones, and the bodies they dig up contain the remains of previous victims. Sometimes a being of pure black with a wide brimmed hat, glowing whitish eyes and no discernible features are seen. The bodies are sometimes discarded with parts missing. This seems to happen at 3am, and many of the victims are highly religious, involved with local religious cults of Þrúðr (anglicised as Thrud), linked to the term Power. Also, many of the attacks happen during a full moon.   Local sources speculate that the killer is after spiritual power, and think that by killing these victims the person is trying to get this, while taking the body parts as either trophies or trying to fulfil some type of ritual. Such a figure (a shadow person), is seen regularly around an old burned site in the north of the city close to the edge. A hidden trapdoor is rumoured to be there that survived the fire. Locals will say it used to be an old temple to Loki, and about 100 years ago it was burned on the orders of the Catholic church, who view the area as cursed & used for devil worship. The place still has an evil aura about it.
