Session 06: Road To Parisius Report

General Summary

Grimmas & Fleec have left Aachen and travelled to Parisius. They are told stories on the journey about caves south of Parisius in the Massif Central with possible magic items. Also told that west where the Alan cavalry live that something is attacking & eating the horses. Also informed about a seaside town west that is was investigated by a squad of five soldiers after the inhabitants started to act strangely, and then disappeared.
When they arrived the guards informed them that the merchant Fleec robbed in Wien is not an actual merchant but a conman who stole the salt & pepper boxes. Fleec proceeded to find thieves guild members in a local tavern who hid the boxes for him at the cost of 50 gp. From there they made their way to the Ile de la Cite to see Burgomaster Drogon de Rais. They found that Fleec is now free and what they were going to do is now null and void. Grimmas is paid, and if they hang around the city they can be contacted for more work. They also find that they can visit the caves to the south, and Count Wilhelm de Sade has interest in the caves. Grimmas remembers that they were to meet or speak to the count anyway, so they have arranged a meeting with him the next day. In the meantime, Fleec went back to the tavern to sell the boxes to the Gnome thief, and got 300 gp. They also got information concerning the cave in question. It has boulders & rock at the entrance to the valley it is in, with carvings or paintings at the entrance, nobody has ever returned, and about a month ago a group of bandits disappeared in the area. Also, there is an old Roman fort associated with them.
