Odysseus Crash Site
When everyone aboard TCSV Odysseus died, the ship emerged from a fold in space close enough to the planet Calypso that it was caught in the planet’s gravity well.
The same thing that killed the crew also caused a hard reboot on the computer systems aboard. The central computer came back to operating capacity in time to level the ship's descent enough to prevent it from being obliterated on impact.
