Romani
The Romani are a traditionally nomadic ethnic group. They originated in India, from the regions of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab.
The majority of Romani live in Eastern and Central Europe and Western Asia, with significant diaspora communities in the Americas.

Major language groups and dialects
Romani is an Indo-Aryan langauge, divided into several dialects. It is estimated there are more than two million native speakers of Romani worldwide.
Some Romani people speak a combination of the dominant language in their country of residence combined with Romani; these dialects are sometimes called Para-Romani.
