Loki's Sceptre
The weapon commonly referred to as the Sceptre is a polearm which houses the Mind Stone.
Little is known of the history of the mind stone, and the details of who, and when, the weapon was created has been lost. It has been suggested that the design of the weapon resembles some of the weapons favoured by Galadorian Spaceknights, though as Galador was destroyed more than a century ago, it is impossible to verify this. Other proposed creators include the Spartax, the Zenn-Lavians, and the Ataraxians.
History
At some point, the weapon came into the possession of Thanos. He gifted it to Loki, to assist in his invasion of earth.
After the Invasion was foiled by the Avengers, the weapon was taken by S.H.I.E.L.D to be studied. It was stolen from the S.H.I.E.L.D. laboratory by HYDRA, who used it to empower Pietro Maximoff and Wanda Maximoff.
After being retrieved by the Avengers, it was disasembled by JARVIS, and the Mind Stone was used in the creation of Vision.
