Mirror Moon Lake
The largest body of water in the Dragonic Realm, known as the mortal haunt of Sou, God of the Moon.
Geography
Mirror Moon Lake resides in a massive caldera far in the north of the Dragon Realm - gaining its name for its extremely smooth, clear waters. An island in the center hosts Sou's mortal lair - where he waits for his grandchildren to come tell him stories of their lives.
Climate
While most of the far north is frozen, Mirror Moon Lake is a massive hotspring - making the entire caldera a verdant green paradise amongst the cold and ice.
History
After Thea created dragonkind, her father Sou wished to meet the mortal dragons - which he affectionately refers to as his grandchildren. As her father is old and in need of warmth, Thea called upon Douza, Deity of Fire, to create a seat for him to do so.
Douza rose a mighty volcano, presenting it to Thea - but the lava was too hot for mortalkind. Thea despaired, but Kalike, Goddess of Water, offered a solution - cooling the lava and replacing it with a lake, which was pleasantly warm for both Sou and mortalkind.
Sou was very pleased with his new seat - and spends much of his time waiting for his grandchildren to visit him. Most dragons make at least one trip to Mirror Moon Lake in their lifetime - usually toward the end of their lives, to tell Sou of everything they experienced before living out their twilight years in comfort.
