Civilization and Culture

History

The bulk of what would become the imp population largely came about from the influx of demons during The First Great Invasion - as such, combined with the general animosity for demons, most other humans do not have a high opinion of imps. Usually, they are seen more for their demon heritage, despite being much closer to humans in that regard.  
As such, imps are often persecuted - particularly in countries heavily affected by demon king invasions. They have one small, underground kingdom they call their own - but it is kept as secret as possible to avoid drawing unwanted attention.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Separate from general Human views on interspecies relationships, many imps have no problem with forming relationships with Demon partners. They are often treated more fairly by demons than by their human brethren, after all. 
However, it can be a polarizing opinion, as many imps also resent demons for their past invasions and the way it influenced opinions of them.
