Old High Harvest Home

Old High Harvest Home is the home of Elturgard's Imperial Commission, which manages the administration of the other various settlements in the nation. It was once a temple to Chauntea, known as High Harvest Temple, but following the High Harvest Slaughter nearly all worshipers of Chauntea in Elturel were killed.

Alterations

While the exterior of the building still resembles the old temple, the interior of the structure has been completely reworked into offices.
The only portion of the building's interior to resemble its old purpose is the sanctuary, where the High Harvest Slaughter occurred. There, hundreds of faceless, ashen-white statues cover the room, representing the hundreds of victims of that gruesome affair.

History

Old High Harvest Home was originally built to serve as the central temple to Chauntea in Elturel, a role it served for centuries.

During the Reign of Vampires, the congregation of Chauntea in Elturel hid in the temple, barricading it against the vampires of High Rider Klav Ikaia. On the 1st of Eleasis, the attacking vampires managed to break through and began a horrific rampage in the temple, killing hundreds and single-handedly wiped out all worship of Chauntea in Elturel.
Following the Reign of Vampires, Elturel began formalizing their control over the neighboring settlements into the nation of Elturgard. The government in Elturel chose the abandoned High Harvest Temple as a large enough location to house the Imperial Commission to manage the administration of the kingdom. While rebuilding the temple for its new purpose, the sanctuary was converted into a memorial to the hundreds killed during the High Harvest Slaughter.
