Dis

Dis is the second layer of the Nine Hells. The layer is almost entirely dominated by the Iron City of Dis, where Archduke Dispater rules. Because of this, the name Dis is used interchangeably for the city and the plane and is, for all intents and purposes, the same place.

Geography

Despite being an near infinitely expanding city, Dis always feels crowded and oppressive, and the infernal iron that makes up its streets and walls can burn with just a touch.
While the city of Dis is surrounded by spiked mountains, very few accounts exist detailing the plane outside of the city that shares its name.
