Jordayne Ishar
Jordayne Ishar, the younger brother of Lord Eluvian Ishar, is a figure of both curiosity and ridicule within PineHall and the broader Noureen Wood. Initially married to Jenna Kethoric, Jordayne faced disappointment when his first wife, an aging elf woman, passed away without bearing him a child. After her death, Jordayne waited until Elise Elksin, a much younger and vibrant noblewoman, came of age, and subsequently married her. Elise has quickly become beloved by the residents of PineHall, admired for her kindness, charm, and gentle nature, which stand in stark contrast to her husband's reputation.
Jordayne, on the other hand, has earned a less favorable reputation among his peers and servants. Known for his gluttony, arrogance, and tendency to brag about his achievements and lineage, he often finds himself the subject of mockery and disdain. His boisterous personality and lack of self-awareness make him an easy target for jokes and gossip, and even those who would normally show deference to a man of his standing have little hesitation in expressing their disdain behind his back.
Despite his unpopularity, Jordayne continues to enjoy the luxuries and comforts that come with his status, seemingly oblivious to the opinions others hold of him. His marriage to Elise has done little to change his behavior, but it has, at the very least, brought a measure of grace to his household through his beloved wife's presence, which many see as a redeeming feature in an otherwise uninspiring member of the Ishar family.
