The Stoneworth Anvil
A smithy owned by Kalen Stoneworth located in the market district in the center ring of Alderon.
Purpose / Function
A place for tradesmen and laborers and fighters to have tools armor and weapons crafted.
Design
The front room of the shop is where Kalen handles the business side of the smithy. Save for display pieces the walls remain unadorned and grey. The roughly etched stone tiles of the floor were intricately designed and shaped and made to look like a picture on a stained glass window. The expertly crafted tiles showed the shape of an anvil with two powerful dwarven arms holding mythril hammers in each hand. Weapon and armor racks like the walls with the more ornate and expensive pieces mounted to the walls. The back wall has an open doorway to the forge with a small 3 legged table standing next to it.
Sensory & Appearance
The oppressive heat from the forge is usually the first thing noticed upon those who enter the smithy. The smells and sounds of people at work and the metals they are working permeate the air.

Architecture
Unlike most of the buildings in the district Kalen's smithy is almost completely made of stone. Built to resemble dwarven architecture the buildings shape is more like two octagonal rooms, one in front of the other, connecting at one wall over the usual square or rectangle buildings. The octagonal rooms are different heights. The one at the front of the building stands 18 feet high and 20 feet wide with a pointed blue stone slate roof. Two windows adorn opposite sides of this room both with iron bars in front of wooden shutters. The octagonal room attached behind it stands taller and wider at 30 feet high and 40 feet wide with the same style roof except this one has two stone chimneys.
