Alterations
This massive structure is the largest that can be found outside of the inner ring. The base shape of the building looks like an upside down "T" with an additional line through the middle. Architects and engineers built from skeletal stone ribs composed of pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses to create soaring vertical interiors, colorful windows, and an environment celebrating warmth and light. A sheer marvel of construction standing at 100 ft at the highest points and 80 feet wide Originally built as a simplistic wooden church. As the Alderian empire spread and it's wealth grew it was updated slowly from a simple wooden church to a lavishly grand church of marble and the finest timber.
Architecture
Though simplistic in nature it is built with lavish materials. A marble statue of Lady Alderia stands outside the entrance to the church. She is depicted in a battle dress with a shield on her left arm and her right arm raised holding a sword, her stone face forever etched in a shout of defiance as she screams at unknown foes. The same marble that make up the statue also compose the walls of of the church itself leading up to masterfully worked roofs. The main roof reaches twice as high as the others and extends up into a sharp point with an eight pointed star adorned at the top.
History
Founded by the first king of Alderon, the capitol city itself slowly expanded around it. As the religion spread throughout the land more and more people flocked to the church for blessing and protection. Eventually the city grew and spread out to become the empire it is today thanks to the leadership of the church and royal family.
