Schiller Station
Schiller Station is a coal and oil-fired power station in Portsmouth, NH. The station was originally owned and operated by the Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSNH). It is now owned by Eversource. The plant is located on the western bank of the Piscataqua River, which borders New Hampshire and Maine. The Schiller Station began commercial operation in 1949 and is PSNH's third largest fossil fuel-burning plant. The plant powers 83,500 residential, commercial, and industrial locations.

Alterations
PSNH replaced one of these coal boilers with a new fluidised-bed boiler burning whole-tree wood chips and other clean low-grade wood materials. PSNH—now Eversource—announced in 2015 it would sell off several of its power plants—including Schiller Station—and the bidding process for companies interested in buying the plant is ongoing.
