Akash

Akash is a realm within the Kamakari Mandate. Despite being a newcomer to the Sora, the kamakari established several ports on the realm, making travel to and from the realm relatively easy.

Physical Description

Akash is a large cube with faces approximately 10,000 km across. Each face, named Planes by the inhabitants, is heavily aligned toward a primal element concept; fire, water, earth, air, light, and dark. The opposing concepts (fire and water, earth and air, light and dark) sit on opposite sides of the cube. The edges of the cube are not perfect, but rather slightly rounded, enabling passage from one face to the neighbors. Each Plane has a varied landscape that is heavily influenced by the elemental alignment. The Fire Plane is hot and filled with deserts, savannas, and scrublands. The Water Plane is covered in a large ocean with small, humid islands dotted across its face. The Earth Plane is covered in lush forests and jungles. The Air Plane is mountainous and developed, with imposing cities. The Dark Plane is cold, with several tundras and glaciers. The Light Plane is bright and warm, with wide plains and grasslands. An orb of light floats above the Light Plane, providing light to the other faces (aside from the Dark Plane).

Native Life

Each Plane of Akash is dominated by a different native race. Additional minor races are present, either as natives or settlers, but the majority are one of the following:

• Borsangri make their home on the Dark Plane, where they live in small colonies where they fill the eternal night with their cricket songs.
• Congmuoi, similar to bipedal termites, are the primary inhabitants of the Earth Plane.
• Kamakari live on the Light Plane in extensive nomadic tribes. They are physically similar to kamakari from other realms.
• Mayi dominate the Fire Plane in large underground hives. They resemble ants in form and society.
• Nabaram are moth-like inhabitants of the Air Plane, where they build tall, spire-like buildings upon which they hang their cocoons.
• Tuamalaeng are an aquatic race native to the Water Plane. Resembling water bugs, they are powerful swimmers, but mostly solitary.
