Renraku Arcology

The Self-Contained Industrial-Residential Environment (SCIRE), or as it is more commonly called, the Renraku Arcology, is a massive pyramid-shaped structure on the Seattle harbor. Owned by Renraku Computer Systems, the Arcology is a centralized structure made to act as residential areas for employees, industrial areas to conduct business and a headquarters for the megacorporation within the greater North America area.

Purpose / Function

The Renraku Arcology represents an extension of Renraku's ideology towards its employees into physical development. Renraku believes that its employees should show complete dedication and loyalty to the company, so the Arcology is not only a place to do business, but also residential zones that provide everything an employee would need. The idea is that a Renraku employee will live in the Arcology, on Renraku property, interact only with other employees, buy Renraku food and essentials, and go to their job working for Renraku. That said, the building is also open to the public, at least on the lower levels, bringing in extra income from tourists who want to visit the Arcology's various attractions.

Architecture

The Arcology consists of multiple different zones, each organized on different floors and with different purposes. In general, the higher up the floor, the higher clearance is needed to access it.

History

Construction for the Arcology began in 2040 and is still underway. As Renraku expanded out into the global market, a headquarters in North America became necessary. Combining the headquarters with the Renraku ideals of corporate loyalty resulted in the Arcology, which officially opened its doors in 2050, once it became functional enough to use. The upper floors of the building are still under construction, allowing the upper management to continue working from Japan, but the lower floors, designed for the general public and lower-level employees, are fully operational.
