The Demonic Era
The Demonic Era (DE) began in the aftermath of The Fall, when The Archangels were Banished, their armies shattered, and The Demon Lords seized dominion over Virtus. The golden age of The Angelic Era came to a violent and abrupt end, plunging the world into darkness and chaos. The once-prosperous lands were twisted by the overwhelming influence of the Seven Deadly Sins, transforming Virtus into what is now known as The Shattered Realm.
For the past 100 years, the world has suffered under the iron grip of the Demon Lords. Each of the seven kingdoms has been reshaped into a domain reflecting the sin of its ruler, turning them into lands of excess, despair, and corruption. Mortals are enslaved by fear, temptation, and hopelessness, their lives dictated by the unrelenting power of sin. Few dare to rise in defiance, as even the smallest act of resistance is swiftly crushed by the demonic enforcers and their masters.
This era is marked by unending strife, misery, and suffering. The virtues that once unified the people have been replaced by selfishness, cruelty, and decay. The Shattered Realm now serves as a mockery of what it once was, with the Demon Lords reveling in their victory and the despair they sow. Legends of the Angelic Era persist, whispered in secret by the oppressed, but they are little more than faint echoes of a bygone age.
The Demonic Era represents not only the loss of Virtus but also the corruption of mortal hearts, as sin runs rampant and unchecked. Yet, amidst the darkness, scattered hope remains—small resistance groups, hidden relics of the Archangels, and the resilience of mortals unwilling to fully succumb to despair. Whether these faint sparks will reignite the light of virtue or be snuffed out entirely remains to be seen.
The present year is 100DE, marking a century of dominion by the Demon Lords, and a hundred years of suffering under their reign.
