The Archangels

The Seven Archangels were once the primary deities of Virtus, the shining beacon of peace and prosperity. As creators of the humanoid races that inhabited the world, they guided and nurtured the realm, ensuring balance and harmony among all beings. Their divine power was a source of protection, promoting the virtues of compassion, humility, and restraint.

Each Archangel was revered throughout Virtus, with their primary temples located in the capitals of the Seven Nations. These sacred sites were centers of worship and divine influence, where their power flowed freely, safeguarding the people from harm and fostering an age of peace.

The Seven Archangels are:

• Caritas, Angel of Charity
• Pudicitia, Angel of Chastity
• Intentio, Angel of Diligence
• Modestus, Angel of Humility
• Benignitas, Angel of Kindness
• Tolerare, Angel of Patience
• Inhibitio, Angel of Temperance

However, one hundred years ago, the Archangels were struck down in The Fall, their celestial powers extinguished as The Demon Lords invaded. The once-proud temples were desecrated or abandoned, their followers scattered, corrupted, or lost to time. With the Archangels banished from the material plane, the realms of Virtus fell into ruin, giving way to The Demonic Era under the rule of the Demon Lords.

Now, the Archangels and their teachings are but whispers in the wind, their legacy obscured by the shadows of The Shattered Realm.
