Grand Maritime Union
The Grand Maritime Union (GMU) is a megacorporation with ties to the trade unions and merchant class of the Kingdom of Great Albion and Southern Empire. It was founded between the two empires with the purpose of facilitating trade above all other things, dealing in all markets legal and otherwise. It operates a sizeable armada of warships and merchant ships that travel across the world to establish trade agreements, by force if necessary.
Structure:
The Grand Maritime Union's board of directors are comprised of the leaders of each industry within the Union's territory. The most public figure of the Union is Lord "Willy" Wentworth, the President of the Wentworth Tea Company. The naval arm is the naval corporation known as Lionheart Shipwrights. The region around the Sea of Thieves is commanded by Admiral Earl Grey, a prominent executive with the aforementioned naval corporation. The most prominent GMU merchant in the Sea of Thieves is Earl Rupert Featherbottom, the President of the Falcon Fishmonger Company.
