Earl Rupert Featherbottom

Born in 1677 to the prominent Featherbottom noble family in the rural heartland of the Kingdom of Albion, Rupert was the 4th son of his father and seemed destined to life as an officer in the Cavalier Army. Rupert Featherbottom felt he was destined for more in his life and instead created the Falcon Fishmonger Company, a bustling fishing business that operated along the Thymes River. In 1699, Rupert's three older brothers each suffered fatal accidents, making him the new Earl of Featherbottom. With his new status as patriarch of the House of Featherbottom and a thriving fishmonger business, he was ready to expand his commercial enterprises. Rupert left the Old Continent and traveled to the Kingdom of Albion's colonies in the New World. With him, he brought his fishing company and set up in the colony of Port Loyal. He made his fortune making the exotic New World fish affordable and available to the people of the Western Empire.

In 1707, he would be contacted by Lord "Willy" Wentworth, Don Carlos de la Cruz, and other aspiring Kingdom of Great Albion and Kingdom of Herabria merchants to join them in the creation of the Grand Maritime Union (GMU). The Grand Maritime Union would direct its efforts in creating as many monopolies on trade goods as it could, and Earl Featherbottom would affiliate the Falcon Fishmonger Company with the GMU in exchange for exclusive fishing rights in the Kingdom of Great Albion's colonies in the New World, pushing out all other competitors.
