The Dark Cosmos

The Dark Cosmos are a trio of gods who all share a common origin. The fear felt by the titan Genesis when he first awakened and learned of the gods. They were born from Genesis’s worst fears about what the gods could mean, and what they might do. Genesis feared that that gods had the potential to be powerful beings of great evil, and that they might seek to replace him and destroy all that he created, and through the force of his paranoia he created the very thing he feared.

As gods born from fear, they also feed on fear, both that of Genesis and that of mortal life. The Dark Cosmos lurk in the nightmares of mortals, driving them to madness, and corrupting them toward their own insidious ends.They grow stronger the more fear is present in the world, and the many dangerous threats in the Lands Below have created a breeding ground for fear.

Those who worship the Dark Cosmos are almost as strange as the gods themselves. They include a bizarre mixture of insane creatures, horrific abominations, and even strange, alien beings that come from beyond the stars. These worshippers create elaborate cults, and work in shadows to spread fear and cause strife. Luckily these worshippers are exceedingly rare, and largely confined to the edges of the world, as the Dark Cosmos are considered an enemy to all other gods.
