Solis Mors, The World Eater

Solis Mors is the god of fear, entropy, and the empty, nothingness in the void of space. Solis Mors leads the Dark Cosmos, and works to bring about the ultimate end of all creation, leaving nothing, but a cold, empty void where even he will be consumed. He takes on a the form of a suit of armor, adorned with malicious runes and skulls, and filled with a void of stars. The middle of his armor is split in two, where a twisting storm of the god's most recent meals is gradually ground away into nothingness.

Solis Mors preys on the fear of death, on the concern that nothing awaits after ones life ends, and that oblivion is the ultimate fate of all living things. He spreads the feeling that life is meaningless, and that everything is ultimate pointless. This then spreads to the idea that life itself is actually a curse that brings only pain, and that the only way to be released from the pain is to accept the oblivion Solis Mors offers, causing ones souls to be completely destroyed, and removed from the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Wars are frequently useful for Solis Mors, as the devastation and suffering they spread can be ideal for moving people towards the mindset that leaves them vulnerable to his influence.

Those who do choose to follow Solis Mors typically do not do so for long, and often come to quickly regret their choice. His followers are given the power to consume the lifeforce of others, but at the cost of their own power constantly. Followers of Solis Mors are forced to continuously seek out new victims to consume and sacrifice to their god, lest they end up as the sacrifice instead. The eventual destruction Solis Mors brings is always inevitable, even when fed, as the more power consumed by a worshipper, the more power they need to continue feeding to their god. This means that followers of Solis Mors need to continue escalating the scale and the amount of power they offer to their god. The only way to be saved once the process of being consumed by Solis Mors has begun is an act of divine intervention by another major god.
