Yon, God of Air

The most important god in The Gaflaptha Religion is Yon, god of rain and storms, who makes the harvest possible. He also rules over the beasts of the field and forest, and is worshipped by hunters, farmers, and herders.

Followers

Those who worship Yon are rewarded with power over the air, as well as the ability to communicate with plants and animals. Mages in the service of Yon may even be able to leave their bodies and live through the eyes of a beast for a short while, although they risk being unable to return.

Ethics and Values

Followers of Yon believe in humility and the virtues of simple living. More devout followers will sometimes take a vow of poverty, and wear undyed clothes and live with little or no furniture. Followers of Yon may become cursed for acting greedily or stealing.

Curses and Monsters

Monsters created by Yon take on the form of corrupted beasts and animals. Beasts are carriers of the plague and are extremely contagious. Unlike other gods, Yon will sometimes curse a person's livestock or nearby animals rather than the person themselves.
