Village of Fairehaven
Nestled amongst soft rolling hills and shaded by live oaks is the Halfling village of Fairehaven, with beech, linden, cherry and willow trees lacing the banks of Tund Springs. A few dozen roomy thatched homes with manicured gardens and gentle earth lanes trace the hillsides, each with families of many generations.
This is not the case with all or even most Halflings, but despite all the individual families, in Fairehaven specifically every other individual in the village is your family as well. Those of your generation are considered your second cousins, the generation above, your second grandparents, the next your second great grandparents, the ones a generation below you are all your second children, the next your second grandchildren.
It is a truly lovely place to live. If you like company. The neighbors in the village of Meren, on the other hand, like their quiet and their books and a good cup of tea with the exception of raucous parties on every possible occasion, which the Fairehaven residents happily attend. One must pay the third cousins a visit as freqently as one can.
