Mountain Butter

A strange, soft stone ore substance found in the year 212 AF under Nidavellir in the deepest reaches of Deepwell mine, used for softening and lubricating purposes, and even an emergency food source for deep miners.

History & Usage

Discovery

First discovered by Torech Gudhayr in the deepest caverns of Deepwell.

Everyday use

Mountain butter has many uses, mostly involving making hard things soft, from beards to rough, leathery skin to oiling the joints in Dwarven armor.

Distribution

Storage

Soft at a comfortable room temperature, if you are sweating, it is melting. At sweater weather, it becomes quite a bit more firm.
