Waytani Industrial Aeronautics

Founded almost a millennia ago during the First Wave, Waytani Industrial Aeronautics has long been one of humanity's leading Aeronautics engineering corporations since humans initially surged into great unknown. Waytani made their break during the expansions period in the Tetra Gamma sector in 2291 with the invention and demonstration of their Demeter-class Harvesters that became so common that they were one of the first new household names of the human stellar colonial period.
During the Second Wave, the Sector Gubernatorial seat of the Rabian Delta initiated a series of corporate friendly policies intended to draw in major corporations throughout human space into the sector in order to use their money to better develop the Rabian Delta on a large scale. Given the friendly corporate environment of the sector, Waytani was one of many corporations that chose to move it's official headquarters into the sector.
This policy was met with contention throughout the sector as many viewed the effects of large corporate development as bad to the economy of the sector. This turned out to be the opposite of the truth when the Scream passed through the galaxy. While the infrastructure of the entire galaxy collapsed around them, these large corporations had the resources to kickstart the rebuilding process and recover much of the infrastructure of the sector centuries before the rest of the galaxy could hope to achieve the same. To the credit of the dissenters, this situation has also developed into a double edged sword.
Seeing an opportunity to grab power and freedom here-to-fore unimagined by a corporation, Waytani has achieved governmental control over the system their headquarters were based in, and are making plays for most of the other systems in the Aribiam Traverse. A play that has only be slowed to date by the external efforts of the ACR.
