The Wild Araneae Gang
One of the largest criminal organisations within The Pontision System. They are led by Commodus Obrianna, the ex-heir apparent of the Malum Auctori Royal Family, and are notorious for their ability to raid ships that travel through the nodes of The Web. This ability has caused great concern throughout the galaxy as it is thought to be impossible to enter another ship's slip-space stream and has thrown the presumed security of The Web into question.
The bulk of the Wild Araneae Gang's members are Auctori who were previously a part of Malum Auctori's military under the command of Commodus, yet they do take in new members on occasion. When he left his post he took the troops that were directly under his command and brought them into his newly formed gang, dealing a significant blow to the Auctori military. The crimes that they tend to engage in are violent crimes, as well as drug and alien trafficking. They are particularly hostile to roving Yilvykian clans and solitary spaceships; however, everyone who travels the galaxy fears the Wild Araneae Gang regardless of their species or the numbers they travel with.
