The Exiles

The Exiles were either failed or decommisioned soldiers of the Guardian Program. A few years after the failure of Menthal, these rejects saw where the wind was going for their kind, and formed a union to fight for either compensation or reperations for the difficulties they've been through. They spend much of their time in Chrome Den #2, one of the few judicial districts of the Fourth Fleet. They were not much liked, and got on most of Division 8's nerves. And they gained little but public disdain for their efforts, as most saw their pensions as just reward for a failed super soldier project.   During the invasion of the Veritian Leaf of 1102, many of these Exiles were reaching middle age and would not have been called to arms until the fleet was desperate. But when the Truth Plague caused a civil war within the Lesvetter, the Exiles happened to be the most ready for it. They regrouped quickly after the initial chaos, and used the disarray to establish footholds throughout the ship. Yet, they were merely defending until a goblin by the name of Shotglass Joe came along and rallied the offensive. They took over the Palatin Guard from the guardian loyalists and used the tower's offensive capabilities to fight back against the infected. Shotglass Joe even had the Exiles help him reclaim the Core Key, helping him gain access to the core of the Lesvetter, bypassing the lockdown. With this, Shotglass Joe satisfied his deal with the Seraph of Winter, initializing the Winter Contingency. But that was a secondary mission meant to weaken the Truth Infection so that Shotglass Joe could then go defeat the leader of the infection with his Exile allies.   Shotglass Joe would succeed, but the tale of that success is yet to be written.
