Dakath

Dakath is the elven nation east of the Great Droplet Sea. The Tower of Dakath is its capitol and the seat of its king. It was an elven region during the Years of Expansion, and split off during the Sundering, as the elves were converting to secularism and were keen to detach themselves from the Church like many other nations in that period. It was spearheaded by the founder of the Tower of Dakath, the Lord Larethious. They made him king, and his family rules the kingdom since.

Demography and Population

Dakath is the second most populated region of the Veritian Leaf. It consists mostly of elves, though there is a large half-elven and fey population. But the elves are not all the same ethnicity, with high elves populating the shoreline and the wood elves in the eastern fey wilds.

Territories

At its founding, Dakath claimed everything east of the Great Droplet Sea. No one challenged that claim as west and south was more in demand. They kept this territory until 1050, where a civil war split the nation into two, the forest provinces splitting from the coastal provinces.

While Dakath exports many things, one thing of note on this winterless continent is that Dakath exports ice. They had a near monopoly on the trade until the Eternal Empire brought mechanic refridgeration to the leaf.
