Okuda Cluster
Located significantly spinward of Cradle in the Cascade Line, the Okuda Cluster is a grouping of six solar systems that are located unusually close to one another. Rediscovered by SecComm scouts around 3300U, it is home to over two hundred colonized worlds united under the Central Government out of Izanami in Okuda Prime.
History
Around 3300U, the Okuda Cluster was rediscovered by scouts from SecComm. Within a century, SecComm colonization fleets had arrived to begin settlement of the worlds in the Cluster and the governments on Izanami and Izanagi were supplanted by those loyal to the incoming regime. By 3412U, Izanami had been designated as the administrative center for all the colonies in the Cluster, reporting further up the chain to organizations within SecComm.
In the wake of SecComm's collapse and replacement by ThirdComm in 4600U, the Cluster was essentially cut off from the rest of Union. Without assistance or interference from the new ThirdComm government, SecComm loyalists in the Cluster worked to maintain their control and secure the Cluster for themselves using remaining military assets.
