Lann

Lann is chief of the daytime half of Galtern's Security Patrol. He is most well known for leading the patrol in the Galternene Overthrow in 2041 Vol.

Personal history

As a student of history, Lann knew more than most about the background of the Security Patrol, and volunteered for service more out of loyalty to Galtern and to the patrol's past (both glorious and messy) than out of obedience to the Unity's requirement of military service from its citizens. His first years in the patrol served to harden a resentment towards the Unity for what it had done to turn the Security Patrol into a parade farce. After the dissolution of the Unity, the sudden influx of Unity loyalists to Galtern strained what had until then been a generally positive relationship. Lann took advantage of the rising discontent to find other patrollers who had more loyalty to Galtern than to the Unity. When he sensed that Galtern's support for the Unity had weakened enough, he gathered the loyal day and night patrollers in a cross-hour raid on Guard Central. After two days the remaining One Guard surrendered, and the Galtern Security Patrol escorted them off Galtern's shores.
