Session 36: This can't possibly go wrong

General Summary

I guess this is the most coordinated thing we'll ever do as a party.
You guys are great tho <3   The Wandering Apocalypse continues to climb Mount Ghakis, despite both the eternal night and decreasing temperature. Andrius especially has trouble with the temperature, his skin an increasingly blueish hue. Snow is coming down steadily, and the path turns increasingly treacherous. The path is pockmarked with gaps where rocks slid down, yet our ill-prepared companions press on as they are, only slowing occasionally. It's not too surprising that they trigger an earth slide, in which only Gix Garrix and Zana hold their ground on the path. Through quick thinking, a well-thrown rope, and a quick spell, everyone manages to get back up on the road. They press on, binding themselves together with rope to avoid such situations in the future.
They press on, but get ambushed by ravished mountain Sabertooths. The creatures prove no great challenge to the Wandering Apocalypse, and they are dispatched with in due time. They take one of the corpses with them. After several more hours the party reaches the Amber Temple. They opt against taking the front entrance, instead following some recent tracks to a fissure in the side of the temple. Through the narrow fissure a group of mountainfolk has made their camp to sit out the storm outside. Though initially planning to kill the party and take their goods, their leader Helwa recognizes Gix Garrix as one of those having killed Wintersplinter and the renegade druid sect that summoned it. The Wandering Apocalypse is thus welcomed into the shelter.
There is however one additional problem, as both Andrius and Fidchell suffer from the Nightmother's curse for looting a shrine to her, preventing them from resting during the night. It happens to be eternally night. In a flash of genius, Zana has a solution to this. If you keep hitting the Weave, then eventually it must do what you want! The infinite monkey theorem was thus applied to wild magic in an effort to undo the curse. Though eventually successful, to say that there were no repercussions is a slight understatement. Zana is subject to several surges, but his companions also aren't spared, of which the worst was probably all the bones in their arms disappearing and regrowing. Even their host, Helwa, is subject to an interesting surge. Following one attempt, she grows in size, sprouts wings, her eyes start glowing golden, and her hair turns from black to golden. Not to mention the divine aura now radiation from her. Her pack at the very least is rather impressed.
Having dealt with the curse, our heroes settle down into the somewhat comfortable room to heat up and rest before heading into the temple.
