Northam
Northam is a large town located east of Curtaris. It is the hub of trade between the Black Riage and the Beyond. The High Regent Reginald rules Northam. As a trade center, many merchants may be found in the towns markets and goods from all over are available for purchase. Blacksmiths, armorers, weapon smiths, tinkerers, Aeon Priests, merchants, traders, entertainers, and many more all make their living within the city walls. Law enforcement is handled by Constable Reeves and the Northam Town Guards. Travelers may leave their Aneens at the town's stables as well as rent more should the need arise.
Geography
Northam is located on the border between the Black Riage and the Beyond. As such, it enjoys the benefits of both regions. Lumber, natural materials, animal products, meats and farmed foods come from the Beyond while minerals, Numenera, wealth, and knowledge come from the Black Riage. Springs in the area provide permanent water supply, and well-traveled roads branch out from Northam to both Curtaris and the rest of the Beyond.
