Giants Species in The New World (2.Order) | World Anvil

Giants

Giants are a subspecies to the Trolls . The name "Giant" is usually used to specify the rather peacful branch of Trolls that left their homes in the fire mountains on order of the godking and went east over the Main Divide soon after the end of the great demonwar . They are known to have settled in a mostly uninhabitat area in the far north-east of the Land.

Far of other civilisation they loose the knowldge of the common tongue for a great part. For the very few occasions where the commom speech is needed and the speaking ability of the tribe chief is not sufficient a grunt can be called to aid the communication.
Their main language becomes the trollspeech, which later developes into the giantspeech , a strongly simplified modification of the common tongue .

History

During their search for new land to make their home encounters with mostly humans brought them the name giants for their sheer size.
