Council of the High Tower

The council of the high tower used to exist during the first Order until it was destroyed in the great demonwar. It had its seat at the the high tower, on the southers slopes of the grey mountains. The council was made up by members of all the seven mortal races and the belonging to this council was one of te highest honors in that time.
For it is believed that the high spirits, ancient and very powerfull beings, chose the original members of the council and blessed them with Sight so they were able to see to the shores of the sea from the top of the high tower. They were ment to watch over the mortal races and guard them against the dangers of the demons. All the members of the council afterwards had to belong to one of the lines of the originals. Not all were blessed with Sight and not all of the blessed ones were equally strong but there was always a guard standing at the top of the tower, watching over the Land.

Disbandment

Their downfall came in the first years of the great demonwar, but it may have begun much earlier. For like most people they began to feel too save during the days of the Long Peace. And when the demon hordes came like a black tide it was too late to assemble the great armies of old. Altough the tower itself stood strong for a few years, like a beacon of hope in an endless sea of monsters, it fell in the end and with it the council of the high tower.
