Beta Vampire
These vampires can be of any race and is created through a blood ritual that takes about 7 nights, where the subject has to die an agonizing death and is buried in undeveloped soil on a full moon on the first night.
One the seventh night, the new vampire will dig its way out of the ground and look for its first meal. Vampire law states that all new vampires must be guided by their creators in the traditions and laws of vampire kind. Since it is such a tremendous task to teach and supervise vampire spawn, each vampire will only create a few in their existence, considering their lineage a legacy that is to be upheld.
Each vampire elder has a vision of what their legacy must be. Some vampires might want their legacy to be that of dominance over others, some might want their legacy to be conquest and others want their legacy to be that of wealth. Each legacy of a lineage can change when the old elder dies and the second oldest becomes the new elder.
Alpha vampires created Beta vampires first in order to serve their legacy, but after the treaty was signed with the elves and the war ended, they agreed to release their army to go create their own legacies. All beta vampires still respect and fear the authority of the Alphas regardless of who their elder is. Beta vampires tend to have a bloodlust, one that gets easier to control once a certain age has been reached. Their behavior can therefore be erratic at times, driven by their need to feed.
