Chapter 1: The Changing Tides
Supreme Storm General Asmund has ordered that General Viggo of the Wolfhead Thanehold organize ten teams to send into the Stormbreaker jungle to determine what exactly wiped out the Wolfhead forces sent to fulfill purgation operations upon the Scorpkin Rebels. Viggo sees this as an opportunity to prove himself worthy of command, avenge the death of General Haskell, and weed out weakness from a legion he seeks to make into his own. The results of these brave warriors' scouting missions will be critical in General Loken's plan to change the tides of the war back in favor of the Stormcloaks, even if he sees the scouting as a needless distraction from combat.
It's clear the Scorpkin have developed a new tactic, acquired a new weapon, or maybe even harnessed some ancient power of their faith to beat back the forces of The Stormcloaks. The ten teams must uncover what these secrets are and make it back to Halstein in order for General Loken's forces to be better prepared. This isn't just a matter of duty to the order, but of restoring the honor of The Wolfhead Thanehold.
Scout Team 6 was carefully chosen by Viggo for his particular attitudes toward its members, rather than the team's merits as few of them seem to be experienced in the skills required to complete the mission with ease. Viggo is always testing his daughter Desta Sigrid with increasingly more impossible tasks, and this intensely dangerous mission is perfect to see if she is worthy of her high marks. Herald Frock has always been on Viggo's shit list due to his overly smiley face and undisciplined behavior. Kjartan Isak is perhaps the only pick that makes sense as he has a clear track record regarding small team tactics, however rumors are spread this is some sort of revenge for a previous slight that has been festering for years.
