Herald was raised as any old Trovenstinian would be. His parents, Rhea and Flint, were pineapple exporters. One fateful day, Rhea proposed that they bring their son, (formerly known as) Scion along with them. Flint disapproved, seeing as Scion was only 2 years old at the time, but knowing his wife and her hard head, begrudgingly obliged. During this mostly normal shipment (only made unnatural by some stronger than usual winds), the Frocks found themselves running behind on schedule. Before they could react, they were being bombarded by Stormcloaks. Scion was abducted and his parents were left behind to sink with their ship. Scion was then raised to be a Stormcloak soldier. Upon his arrival, he was given a new name; Herald. He knew not of the country he hailed from, only flashes of the lush landscape and the smell of the sea. No matter how much punishment and torture he endured, he persistently yearns for the glistening sea, the creaking wood of the mercantile boats, the fresh fruits he consumed all those years ago. His resentment for his abduction and his surname have placed a large target on his back by Viggo Sigrid, and Herald only wishes to impress these Stormcloaks long enough to find a way to escape this hell.
