Ogre

Ogres can be found interspersed throughout Alkay. They are a large, strong, but seemingly intellectually limited people. This has led to their exploitation as grunt, menial labor, and as use as guards or in military forces. Rarely a child is born to the ogre tribes with blue skin. For reasons unknown these Ogre Magi as they call themselves are born with incredible intelligence and inherent magical power. Their normal ogre kin seem to inherently respect the authority of these Magi. At the moment there are only four known magi in The Imperial Republic of Addam.

Civilization and Culture

History

Native to the continent of Alkay the ogres once ruled a broad empire in the south of the continent, and possibly much further. Ruins of the Ogre empire have been found in Teotzil, the great desert, and the Grey Mountains. Accoring to the Sun Elves, their ancestors were subjugated by the empire, and defeated them in a revolution. According to this legend, the gods the Ogre elite worshipped punished them by stealing their intellect, leaving the ogres known today.
