Caervyon Settlement in The Locket | World Anvil

Caervyon

To say that the city was almost wiped out is an exaggeration used to inspire hope rather than pity; Caervyon was not nearly destroyed in a few hours. Instead, it slowly fell to ruin over the course of a year, dragged down by the weight of its fallen knights and scorched table.

Caervyon's reputation has been great for most of its existence, though a corrupted past resides just under the surface. Built back up after a betrayal born of both victory and darkness, Caervyon thrives under the Council of Grace and Retribution's protection and Artwyn's rule. Gates that once stood closed are open to all, confidence restored and magyk once again flowing throughout.

With the return of magyk came both freedom as well as a powerful reputation for Myhren, and hopeful tales arose from other kingdoms of the legendary power of Excalibur; an ability to knight women and bring peace and prosperity to all under their gentle, protective touch. Magyk caught the interest of people from all types of mortalis, fae and human alike. With even the lowest of the lower class settled comfortably, crime decreased and as such, Caervyon and Arthyria became a hub for safe trade and refuge from the horrors of other kingdoms.

Settled within a large source of magyk, Caervyon celebrates the rebirth of their kingdome each year with a celebration, inviting all who wish to join. With Myhren's watchful gaze, the gathering is peaceful and brings hope and light to any who attend, delighting them with whimsical wonders and joy. It is an escape for some, a dream for others, and part of life for most.
