History
When Cherno and Lelina started enforcing their military might on surrounding islands, the people of Kanaka saw that they would be forced into an alliance to ensure their own autonomy. The mayors of each village met in the largest city on the island, Kode and agreed to pool their manpower to create a standing navy to keep away any invaders. To this day, Kode remains the seat of power on the island and the main meeting place for the island's leadership.
