Willian Pellen

Hazegate has a special store that sells books and maps. It is run by a man named Willian Pellen. Willian personally makes these maps, occasionally taking commissions to do so and then selling copies of them in his shop. The books he sells are imported from across the empire and can be ordered upon request. Willian himself is a bit of a busybody. Spending almost all of his time managing his shop and making his maps. He often travels around the region to create new maps or update his old ones, or at least he did back before the increased monster and demon activity. He has also visited nearby provinces in order to further fuel his map-making fascination. Unfortunately, this has been quite some time ago, so he does not have any spare maps outside the Meydia province.
Willian acts exactly how you would expect a book nerd to act. He always has his nose buried in his scrolls and acts rather non-caring towards most people, even customers. He is still a decent shopkeep, he just doesn’t go out of his way to make recommendations and such to his customers. What is not so much like a book nerd is his adventurous spirit. Willian may come across as a shut-in, but he adores traveling more than most residents of Hazegate. He does, however, prefer to travel in solitude, the man is very much a hermit in that regard. It is quite curious how, despite his seeming inability to protect himself from strong monsters, he always manages to get through his travels unharmed. Maybe the dangers of this world just don’t care much about him.
Willian has a slightly plump appearance and is somewhat on the short side. He wears a small pair of rounded glasses, mainly supported by his slightly pointed nose. He has short, messy black hair that is starting to thin out. His garments tend to be simple, consisting of plain shirts with an old robe. When he sets out he always carries with him a large pouch stuffed with writing material with usually a few scrolls sticking out.
