Submerged Isle
When Heliomea was destroyed, the island on which it was built broke off into many smaller isles. Many of these isles sunk below the clouds while others remained floating on top of the sea. One of these remaining islands did sink, but not entirely, submerging itself slightly below the ocean of clouds, remaining there stably. Due to this, the isle is covered by a packed mist, obstructing sight, making someone unable to see more than 25 feet.
One of the inhabitance of the cloud sea has made its layer here. A terrifying serpent that has terrorized the Icara for many centuries, forcing the harpy-like people to venture not too far from their city. The serpent showed up in the region long after Zenera was gone, yet despite this, it was already known by the ancient Hipodean people who lived in Meydia. Likely the beast showed up during the divine war, possibly as a familiar of Zenera. The beast’s myth still lives on in Meydia, referring to the creature as Sepron the Contradiction.
