Sanctum of Rot

During the height of demon society, when Arenez was still worshipped as their overlord, the sanctum of rot was a place of damnation. The pit was used to dispose of the weak and unwanted. Those unfortunate souls who ended up here would find themselves locked up without any means of escape. The sanctum offered no sustenance for any living soul to survive, resulting in a slow death caused by starvation. Yet still, even in death none were allowed to escape, leaving their corpses to rot away within the pit, hence the sanctum's name. To worsen the situation for those who found themselves locked in this place, a strong miasma engulfed the pit, weakening all those within it.
During present times, there are none who are willing to approach the sanctum. Therefore the cruel practice that once made the pit so feared has long since ended. This does not mean the landmark is freed from its horrors. Still riddled with the skeletons of its former victims, the sanctum has become the home of a terrible beast. Arcta the Haunted, a titanic feral demon has turned the place into its layer. With few high-class demons being left in the area of Mausolea, Arcta has been able to occupy the sanctum without any resistance, making the place more dangerous than ever.
