The Kaylone Empire

“At the height of its power the Kaylone Empire stretched some 11,000 systems (for context that’s 55% of civilized space circa the 23rd century).” - A Comprehensive History of The Kaylone Empire, By Bevilé Osteo

History

“It is hard to imagine the Kaylone Empire as anything other than the towering monument to power that it was in the 23rd century. However as most empires do, the Kaylone came from humble beginnings. It’s earliest roots can be traced back to the kingdom of Irkelos on Jeven IV founded in 1790 (human time). The kingdom of Irkelos under the control of the Awrent dynasty would unite the 12 great Kaylone houses under a single ruler in 1867. A common misconception in the history of the Empire is that they were the ones to begin the galaxy spanning wars which built their empire. However it was in fact the Orrelay of the Haggresai system (Now extinct) who fired the first shot, attempting to invade Kaylone colonies in the Fatan system. Having successfully repelled the attack the Kaylone went on the offensive embarking on a campaign which would end with the destruction of the Orrelian homeworld of Skaan. Thus the Kaylone Empire was born.” - A Comprehensive History of The Kaylone Empire, By Bevilé Osteo
