Adians

Adians are one of the largest human populations, with a population of several billion. Genetically identical to humans of Earth, Adians had to scratch out a life on a harsh planet called Adee. Because of this, Adians are uniquely regimented, organized, and subservient to society, and the government. Adians all spend at least some time in service to the government. Either through a tour of military service, or perhaps in some government role, either as a government official, or an employee. Adians teach their young to conform to an accepted pattern of existence that begins with quasi-militaristic youth groups and continues through primary education and into the civil bureaucracy. Any other sort of existence is unthinkable. For all its regimentation, the primary objective of the Adian bureaucracy is positive and unwavering: the protection of Adee and Adians against all threats, environmental and otherwise. Adians buy into that objective as a matter of course, and while they are generally cordial they view all outsiders as potential enemies. Adians as a whole find it hard to take part in any venture that does not directly benefit their planet, or people. The Adian Space Corp rarely leaves Adian territory. The ASC is a one of, if not the, largest space military of any of the Known worlds. The Adian uniforms and insignia are ubiquitous, widely recognized because of their many emissaries throughout human space, and also reinforced by popular media where they are portrayed as duty-driven martial experts.
