When Lowena was cut off from the rest of their forces, Talan barely survived the onslaught. He was recovered from the field by his family, but the wounds never fully healed, leaving him with a slight limp and a scarred face. He was promptly knighted for bravery after the end of the Tambar rebellion, but he now struggles to determine what course would suit him best; his first brush with prolonged combat seems to have left him shaken to his core. His father Josten Sandoreale is thrilled to have a war hero as a son, but if he's called to service again, Talan is uncertain how much heroism he could muster once more.
