History

Initially Raphael believed Aurelio was a kind and just human, who had strong morals he stood by, which Raphael respected. After Aurelio's "spiritual awakening" which caused him to abandon his morality along with his god and religious sect. Raphael is sceptical of the path his party member has begun to walk.

Nicknames & Petnames

Umbrelio

Relationship Reasoning

Raphael sees Aurelio as somewhat of a jester. Despite this, he can see the value Aurelio brings to the party, but struggles to articulate his intentions. Raphael finds himself succumbing to frustrations of Aurelio failing to reach the potential that is within him. Raphael sees that Aurelio sometimes attempts to give his insight on matters but often lacks the experience to give worthy advice, although he realises the importance of a cognitive party where every member is capable of giving a valuable opinion and understands that trial by error is necessary to improve.   Aurelio feels that Raphael is a very important member of the party and he enjoys his company on his travels. He feels that their friendship is beginning to grow and he appreciates Raphael’s honesty. He is impressed with his magical abilities and is glad that they share a common interest. Aurelio believes that Raphael would suit best as a leader in both battle and diplomatic affairs as he finds Raphael to be level-headed, forward thinking, intelligent, tactical and most importantly, party orientated.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

Raphael enjoys having a fellow party member who dabbles in the arcane arts, Aurelio is his only comrade who shares this interest and thus Raphael is excited for a future where both become respected magic users.

Frank

Relationship Reasoning

Muerte appreciates the positive change in attitude that Aurelio has shown towards him. The once rocky side of the relationship is now slowly becoming smoother as shown by the esteemed gifts Muerte has provided and the assistance he has offered. Muerte realises that Aurelio has shown how valuable he is in certain scenarios, however he also believes the cleric should hold himself with more confidence and authority. Muerte has made more effort in steering their relationship into a more positive situation and will continue to do so heading forward, however time will only tell.   Aurelio is still sceptical of Muerte. Even as their friendship is seemingly improving, he finds it hard to believe that Muerte speaks truth. He finds Muerte to be arrogant, self-indulgent and self-centred yet is attempting to be honest and upfront with him for the sake of the party. Aurelio does appreciate Muerte’s generosity as the thief has helped him along the way with spell tomes and Muerte’s improved kindness toward Aurelio has not gone unnoticed. Of course, he can still see potential for a steady, honest friendship and he appreciates the fact that the friendship is sporadically progressive.

Relationship Reasoning

Aurelio sees Remmy as a kind Elven woman and he appreciates her skills in crafting torches and fires. He finds Remmy’s tracking and physical detection skills to be extremely useful for the party, so long as she has the initiative to use them in the right moments. Aurelio feels that Remmy lacks intelligence as her arguments in the battle leader discussion were shallow and contradictive. He can’t quite distinguish her angle as he finds her to be closed off. Of course, he will continue to be honest with her for the good of the party and hopes for their friendship to grow.   Remmy thinks that since Aurelio gained his spells that he has started to become abit of a prick. Aurelio tends to make smartass remarks which come across racist towards Elfs. Remmy and Aurelio's friendship has started to deteriorate because of his attitude. Remmy used to stand up and side with him but now she doesn’t want to due to his rude and harsh comments.

Relationship Reasoning

Bhelrig was satisfied with Aurelio's attitude towards him, his approach towards Bhelrig was intelligent, Aurelio was happy to engage in slight conversation with Bhelrig, he didn’t go as far as welcoming Bhelrig with open arms but more of a strategic approach which is well respected in Bhelrig’s eyes. Bhelrig believes that Aurelio is a very logical thinker, which is a handy tool to have within a party. Bhelrig has seen Aurelio's value within the party not only with his logical thinking but how he was able to help Bhelrig in a time of need, and continually doing so until fully recovered, Bhelrig is pleased with Aurelio and is expecting a strong bond to form within the near future.   Aurelio finds Bhelrig to be a friendly and kind Dwarf. He would be willing to have Bhelrig as a part of the party after they have spent some time travelling together. Aurelio is impressed by the size of Bhelrig’s hands and cannot wait to see them utilised in battle.

Fair, trustworthy, just, intelligent, sincere.

The Mystery of the Silk Dissapearance in Drishti

As I was passing through Drishti, I ran into three other adventurers. Two of them elves and the other, another human. The elves; Raphael and 'Ratlord Elf' Remmy were quite nice. They seemed charismatic and were willing to chat. The human didn't give me his name. He was a short litttle whiny brat that didn't want to talk to me and he swiped away an offer to shake hands. Throughout the next few days, I don't think he even gave me his name. I had to find out from the others that I met. 'Muerte', he calls himself. We didn't really get along from the get-go but I will try to make friends. After all, I need to make friends to survive. These other three adventurers and myself were passing by the town hall when a man named Noah asked for some help. He said that lately the silk in Drishti had been dissapearing. He couldn't give us much information regarding the issue. He suggested we talk to the major traders in the town. Our party split off and went in search of information. I went up to Old Ned's farm. I decided to see him as I thought that my experience would help me relate to him better. It just so turns out that he was a crazy old bastard. He was still willing to show me his silk stock. I met Gimbledore, his assistant that runs the workshop in his basement. Gimbledore said he didn't have any issue or shortage to his supply. He did offer to take us up to the forest where he gets his raw supply from. On the way back, I stopped by Mark Hawngrove's house. He was unwilling to open the door. When he answered the knock, he was nothing more than a crazy barstard too. He acknowledged the silk shortage but he blamed the fault on wild coyotes that he claims steal the silk for their own civilisation. I met up with the rest of the group in the town hall. After we talked to Noah again, we found that he really wasn't helpful. Raphael engaged in conversation with a ragged older man whom conversing with Noah prior to our entrance. He asked us to meet him later that night at his house where he would be able to divulge information in privacy. We arrived around 8pm. He let us in, greeted us and said his name is Nevil. Nevil authorises the trades through the town. He told us Mark and Belinda Welkas had suffered the largest hit to their silk supply and noted that Neeve Tillington had also taken a hit but this didn't stunt her supply as much as the other two. It seems the silk income is varying between the traders but each can still get by with what they are bringing in. Nevil says that he sees three lanterns heading up to the forest late each night. It seems they usually pass by later than the time we were in his house. Late that night, we snuck out to get a view on the people that pass through late at night. We could notice the were elevated on horseback and were thrashing the horses as though they were in a hurry. They had swords and there were three of them. We went back to the town hall for bedding and made a plan for the following day. We woke at 8am that morning and Raphael and I decided to go down to Old Ned's and ask Gimbledore to show us the forest. Gimbledore obliged and the four of us in the party followed him. When we arrived, there was an abandoned camp that was used as a poaching outpost. We decided to take a look to see what may have been left there. I was lucky enough to find a minor grade healing potion. When we turned around to go back to Gimbledore, he had ran off. Three bandits came out of the forest and we ended up fighting them. I'm still not trained very well and as a result, I lost some fingers. I must say, Muerte did help in the battle. Although he is unwilling to speak, he saved my life. Two of the bandits were killed before the last ran off. I consumed the healing potion and whilst it helped, my fingers have been reduced to nubs on my left hand. Raphael and Muerte chased the remaining bandit into the woods. It turns out that the last bandit was Butterbrain, an elvish member of the 'Barrel Land Bandits' group that had contracted Dante's burn. Muerte ended up killing him and looted his body. There were some men on horses coming toward us as we stood around the body of Butterbrain. As they got closer, we could see that they had the symbol of the moonwatchers on banners. The man leading the group seemed to be Sonji Slither. We could tell by his red eyes. We had only heard rumours about Sonji Sliter the Night Rider but we felt this was the best assumption. He leant down with some tweasers and took a fragment of Butterbrain's face. When he looked back at us, his eyes began to glow and the glow illuminated the area. The glow started to dissorientate us as we felt nauseous. We immediately ran out of the shrub and they vanished. When we got back to the town, Muerte read a note he found on Butterbrain's body. It said something about how the bandits were expecting a shipment of silk from the old lady. When we arrived back in town, we went to Nevil to see if the note meant anything to him. When we handed it to him, he passively refused to give it back. As we scuffled for the note, the idiot Nevil knocked himself out. We decided to investigate his house. We went upstairs and looked in each room. In one room, there was a hatch in the ceiling with symbols around it. It seemed odd so we sent Remmy up to take a look. In the roof she found a dead body. She said it looked exactly like Senrich Gaulden, another trader in the town that she spoke to. We went downstairs and it Nevil was gone. Nevil had ran to Mark's house. We went in and ended up fighting them both. Both of them were knocked unconscious and we dragged them outside and sent for Noah and some guards. Noah told us that Nevil had been living in Senrich's house and we could only assume that Nevil had killed Senrich. Noah acknowledged that we had solved his problem and paid us some gold for helping him solve the mystery.

The Backstory of Aurelio Baldor

I can still feel it all. Each emotion of being at home with mother and father. Pipette and Rothnar by formal first names anyway. It has been too long since I had the sensation of eating mother’s hare pie down by the river near our farm. The walls of Chepstow seemed so large from the outside. It was almost as though everywhere I looked I saw the mile high walls that kept everyone on the inside ‘safe’. I spent my days growing up being the family farmhand whilst father travelled inside the wall to apprentice a blacksmith in hopes of a better future. I have memories of Grandmother Piper but she moved away when I was younger. Father made sure I was literate from a young age. Books were a part of my childhood, even the tattered old cowhide covered books with as much as fifty pages showed me that there was more to life than being on a farm. Skully used to meet me at the foot of the wall at the end of every week. We were good friends and always had each other’s backs. I managed to see him one last time before I left home, but it wasn’t for reasons I was expecting. You see, he’s a servant to one of the Carsons’, Tywin, I think. He was the one that urged me to leave. He said things would be dangerous if I stayed. Anxiously trembling, he told me that he was hearing whispers about a religious cult that were abducting people and sacrificing them to evil gods in exchange for the privilege to dabble in dark magic. After seeing him, I knew I had to get back to mother and father at once. I rushed back only to find the house turned upside down as though someone had a fight. Mother and father had vanished. I went through all the rooms, checked the stable & the attic. I found one of my tattered books sitting under the table. As I turned it over, I was shocked to see what had been written on the hide cover – “A wonderful sacrifice has been made, for the gods shall bless us with their darkened magical blade”. Since leaving home, it has been difficult to trust anyone. I still haven’t told anyone about what I saw on the book, or why I really left the farm. I always knew that maybe I could be something more. I want to learn the art of healing so I can be of help to anyone that may need it. I feel it would be good to get some experience fighting so I can be my own safeguard on the lonesome roads throughout the isles. I plan to find some friends that I can trust and that I can feel safe with. Eventually, maybe one day, I will find out who is leading this syndicate and enact my revenge for taking my family away from me. I just want them safe, if they are even still alive. At 19 years old, the story of Aurelio Baldor is just beginning. A humble human from humble beginnings that only wants more in life as everything around him has been disrupted. His wit and intelligence may save him yet, but all that is for nothing without friends, training and experience in this cruel world.
