The Ken Proliferation - Ep I (12/14/18)

Fight day in Mexico City; Sam Calloway vs. Casey Mcgregor! As the fighter prepared for his competition, the Earth trucker John met the young girl Nādālīs in a shady bar known as The Violet Rose. Her accompaniment, Marcus, had a troublesome liver and ended up dying before he could finish his last drink. Nādālīs took what money he had left on him and hired John to take her out of the city where she'd be expecting a mayday that Marcus had told her they were seeking (although he hadn't told her why). John saw a flaming hunk of debris fall from the sky not far from the city, made a deal with the young lass, but was called to meet with Pim Castle, the UFC-Mexico owner, at the fight before he could transport the young Venutian. The two new business partners were late to the match; Pim made him aware of Ross Veniro's plan to put John out of business after his last entrepreneurial exploit. He also told John that men were being sent after his fighter, Casey, and that he would pay well to protect him. John and Nādālīs used one of Castle's fast, sleek, and stylish flying super cars to tail Mcgregor. Casey's driver, once nearing their supposed destination, gunned the accelerator and sped outside of the city walls. John sped to follow, but an altercation within Casey's vehicle sent it spiraling out of control towards the frozen wasteland floor (not far from where John saw the wreckage come crashing down).
Not long before that, a small hunting party of Rocheglee tribesmen had been scouting out the area between their camp and Mexico City. One of the tribemen, Vizion, broke off from the group in pursuit of an arctic hare, when he stumbled upon a small and ancient radio receiver building (not that he had any idea what it was). Inside he found a small green leaf growing out of the relatively thawed out interior of the building; the first plant he had ever seen. He was shook out of his wonderment by a loud explosion. When he rushed back outside he saw a plume of smoke in the direction of his village. He rendezvoused with the rest of his party and began trekking back to the camp, when suddenly a flying craft came tumbling out of the sky and collided directly with the hunting crew. Vizion was quick (and/or lucky) enough to jump out of the way and avoid the untimely demise of his close friends.
John and Nādālīs watched the out-of-control flier smash into two helpless men on the frozen ground, and cautiously circled above. Vizion began attacking the wreckage in a bout of fear and anger. Casey Mcgregor regained consciousness, only to find himself bruised and beaten inside a wrecked car with a savage and aggressive tribesman assaulting the metal "case" around him. With some help from John & Nādālīs who had landed a short ways off, Vizion was calmed and the four gave hasty introductions. Everyone piled into the super car, and John ferried the crew over to the Rocheglee village; or what was left of it.
The Rocheglee village was almost completely destroyed; demolished under the titanic hull of a torn up space freighter. While circling above the devastation, gunshots were heard from inside the vessel, and shortly after, two men came crawling out of the wreckage adorned in worn Mars Coalition spacesuits. John set the flier down and the crew met with the two strangers (who introduced themselves as the Belter Clark Porter and the "outlaw" Marvin Debrewsky) whilst Vizion took in the desolation of everything he knew. Amongst the rubble he found his tribe's Maestro dead in his tent, along with large amounts of technologies the Rocheglee were strictly forbidden from using.
John, Nādālīs, and Casey went back to Mexico City in Pim's super car, whilst Vizion led Clark and Marvin (who both has spacesuits to protect from the cold) to the city on foot.
Once back within radio range, John was contacted by Reggie, an informant and drug dealer in Mexico City, who informed the trucker that his vehicle has been impounded and that he is being hunted. In exchange for some credits, John was given the location of an abandoned warehouse on the North-East (slummy) side of the city that could be used as a temporary hideout. Casey Mcgregor attempted contacting Pim Castle, but received no response. Upon attempts to contact his mother, Casey found that whoever was hunting them already had men with his mother. John dropped off Casey at the Space Elevator, where he quickly discovered men had already set up to capture or kill the fighter. Mcgregor made a hasty escape, and the three made their way to the safe house. The old ran-down warehouse was occupied by some vagrants, but were easily dealt with. John ditched Pim's vehicle, and Nādālīs hot wired a new and less conspicuous ride (a Honda Pilot Flier). While Nādālīs and Casey slept, John went to a locksmith (who he learned of through Reggie) to see about getting the Venetian's restaining collar taken off.
In the early morning, Vizion, Clark and Marvin had made it to the city walls. Clark was forced to submit paperwork to allow the undocumented Vizion entrance into the city. Marvin was immediately detained after submitting his Mars Coalition ID for clearance. In a seemingly improbable encounter, Clark and Vizion spotted John returning to the safe-house, and reconnected with the rest of the group there.
With a small amount of rest, the group had to act fast to free Marvin from the small Mexico City Security Station. In a quickly escalating encounter, the party managed to free their detained compatriot, and reconvene at the safe-house. It is safe to assume that all six party members are now a part of Mexico City's most wanted.
