Detective Clark Porter
Clark is a Belter who was raised on Balboa Orbital Mining Facility by Mark Porter and Tammy Porter. Shortly before Clark got his job at the Balboa Station Police Department, his "parents" told him that he was in-fact not their biological son, but that he had arrived at the station as a baby in the arms of his deceased mother Angelica Winter within a blood and body filled shipping container. Not long after Clark's promotion to detective, his foster father Mark passed away, and Tammy followed shortly thereafter.
In the following years, with the help of his partner Detective Rajneesh Patel, Clark solved numerous cases, but also got involved with some of the shadier business on the station, using his positional status as leverage against criminals. Darren Bush was one such example, and one of the bigger potential drug busts of Clark's career. Busting Darren certainly would have propelled Clark to the next level within BSPD, but instead of turning him in and getting his pay raise and promotion, Clark saw potential in the drug lord and struck a deal for him to be Clark's personal informant into Balboa's criminal underground. Clark got 20% of Darren's profits from his drug deals as well as any inside information he asked for in exchange for his freedom and Clark's protection when he could, within the confines of the law.
